Some update on the spawn

20\11\10-flirting session
21\11\10(morning)-female was released
22\11\10(evening at 3pm)-They finally spawned

Some Detail of the spawning process:

-male lazy to pick up the eggs
-male remove most of the egg at the buublenst to otherside of the tank
-Most eggs are eaten my Male
-Manage to save about 1\3 of the eggs (Damn itt!!)
-Female still in gud condition (no injury at all)
-Male going easy with the girl
-Remove the female from the tank
-Decide to remove also the dad to prevent for eating other eggs

Now waiting for the egg to hatch .i have a feeling tht maybe this eggs are not fertilized (maybe that why the dad decided to eat most of the eggs).It ok later we will know ....

here is the final update of ths spawn.All eggs were unfertelized as i predicted.From the pic below u can see there fungus surrounding all the eggs.So clearly wwe can say tht th emale just doing his job.lol



Updates:

-Decide to ignore ths tank and put aside before i washed it
-The next morning there's some fries at the bottom of the tank
-I syringe out all the fungus eggs from the tank (prevent infection)
-estimate around 10-11 fries survive in ths spawn
-Bad New the male die after i removed him from the spawn tank the other day

Female start to drop alut of eggs everywhere.I had experienced ths before from my last CTPK spawn.ctpk female tend to drop their egg during spawning process ths due to the excitment of the female during the spawn (lol i over exeggerate tht part).
-Male start attacking female non stop making the female drop even more and more eggs
-decided to change the male
-later i introduced her with another male (Blue lace CTPK)

Hi to all bettas fan out there!!!

It been a while since i been playing with bettas.so i think it about time that i do my own Bettas spawn log .willl update soon...cheers:)

All A.D's Betta spawns are given a spawning-code in order to keep track of my lines and to make it easier to check the background of the fish bred by me. The spawning code is composed out of:

(I) AD (My name).
(II) The spawning-date (day/month/year).

example:

AD201110= (EDDY's bettas spawn at 20th november 2010)

In this spawn log of mine contain the followings:

-upload few pics of the male and female using my mobile cam

-A short video of the pairs in the spawning tank

-once spawned is succeed then a serial code will be given (as stated above)

-Detail pic of parent

-Description about the target of this spawn (cross)

-If spawn fail or die will update the causes

-update Of the fries from time to time

-Jarring session

-Breeder selection from the spawn
